Intended Parent(s) Psychological Consultation

An intended parent psychological consultation is a session designed to support individuals or couples through the emotional and psychological aspects of the surrogacy or egg/sperm donation process. The consultation typically involves exploring expectations, addressing important issues, as well as concerns or challenges, regarding the journey ahead, as well as the preparation for it. It covers a wide variety of aspects surrounding the journey to parenthood, and it ensures that intended parents are mentally and emotionally equipped to navigate the complexities of assisted reproduction.

  • The consultation lasts 75 minutes, and the fee is $250.

    While the link when booking section says the consultation is for 75 minutes, I’d suggest setting aside around 90 minutes for the appointment, in case it goes a bit long and/or if you have questions for me. As for the consultation, it does not constitute therapy and no assessment, diagnosis, or treatment is completed. It is a psychoeducational consultation, intended to discuss several aspects of the assisted reproductive technology/IVF/surrogacy process. After our meeting, I will write and send a report to the relevant fertility clinic you are working with. Depending on the state/country where the birth will be, your fertility clinic may also provide it to your attorney, who may also include it with a motion for parentage with the relevant state court.
